To date, Dyed Emotions have appeared on six commercially available recordings (individual band members have appeared on additional recordings not listed here).

AQUA PURA
, dE's first album, was released in 1998. The Seattle Rocket (may they rest in peace) hated it, while elsewhere the band received great reviews, including a review of one of their live performances in Germany's Onstage magazine. The album itself had an ethereal feel, and the overall sound of the album was a great fit with the Aqua Pura motif.

The DRIP compilation was a diverse collection of Seattle artists & was released in a joint effort by SeattleSounds.com and DrDrew.com to raise awareness for two seattle-area non-profit organizations, AD2SEATTLE and S.A.V.E.(Students Against Violence Everywhere). Dyed Emotions contributed their track, "Night" (from the Aqua Pura album), for the project.

LEXICON MAGAZINE released Now Music For Pop People, Volume IV, a collection of synthpop/electronic acts with issue #16 of the magazine. The CD included tracks from 80's bands BERLIN, ELECTRONIC, ABC, and A FLOCK OF SEAGULLS, as well as tracks from newer bands THE FAINT and BLACK TAPE FOR A BLUE GIRL. The dE track was a version of Lost Like You that differs considerably in its arrangement from the version later released on AOR.

MESSAGES: Modern Synthpop Artists Cover OMD was exactly as described - another collection of modern synthpop acts covering the songs of 1980's synthpop pioneers, OMD. Several great synthpop artists contributed to this CD, two of the better known were THE FAINT and WHITE TOWN. Dyed Emotions performed OMD's best known song, "If You Leave" for the CD.

WXJL Presents Music For the Masses Volume Two is another compilation of Electronic/Synthpop acts released The CD was produced wonderfully, and includes an earlier mix of dE's Frequency.

ART of REGRET is Dyed Emotions' second full album. Originally scheduled for release in 2001, the album was delayed nearly seven years by various absences and other projects. The 2001 tracks were re-mixed (still maintaining the original instrumentation) and refined for several months, with the mastered tracks & artwork completed in July 2007.

At the time of this writing, ART OF REGRET is available for Pre-Order on Amazon.com; the release date is scheduled for September 4th, 2007.

The last bits of the artwork have finally wandered their way to the printing plant. AOR has at long last left the hands of the band and is now in the capable hands of the manufacturers. Expect to hear good news from dyed Emotions in the upcoming weeks.

For all of you good folks that keep checking to see the status of AOR, there is good news today. Final submissions are shipping to the processing plant on Monday morning. After that there will be only the final proof and then... Art of Regret. Thank you for your patience through all of this. We hope that you will find it worth your while.

Nuts. So much for the spring release. Happy summer to everyone. According to the delivery service, we should be receiving the mastered copy of AOR today! Time to start saving up your allowance or mowing a few extra lawns. The time of AOR is coming soon...

6/14/2007 5:06PM
All the audio for AOR is complete and at it's second to last resting place before it hits the printer. With any luck, we'll still have a spring release! If not, then early summer it is!

5/31/2007 7:52PM
For those individuals interested, posters featuring the AOR artwork will be available for purchase directly from the band at a very reasonable rate. The posters will be 18x24 and will suitable for framing. Samples of the artwork should be available shortly.

AOR Update: A minor audio problem was identified and remedied in the closing track of Art of Regret. Luckily, no one was seriously hurt in the process. All things are still moving forward.

Right then. This is how serious we are about the album being done soon... A link in the discography has been added for the forthcoming dyed Emotions album "Art of Regret". Feel free to give it a gander. There are samples (really crappy sounding ones) available to listen to, pictures to view, lyrics to read, etc. Send any comments to dyed Emotions.

Happy Easter! Another slight delay due to geographic problems. We're still counting on a spring release. Wait for it...

The artwork for the forthcoming Art of Regret was shot today in the cold rain (bad luck for the model and photographer). The mini-proofs look great. With a bit of luck and a bit more of determination, the CD should hit the factory within then next 15 days. YES! Special thanks to Mischka and Kiri.

Holy crap! It's been over a month since this page was updated! What the heck?! Right then. The project continues forward. Artwork for the album cover is, again, proceeding smoothly. The 'in-mind-draft' is coming to fruition. The songs are done and ready for mastering... (I know, I know. We talked about mastering... we tried mastering... But face it. We can't compete with the professionals. We're giving up and sending it to one of them to take care of.) ALSO - get this, there has been a proposed (and agreed to) resolution with the 'certain tracks for the CD' (See 01/31/2007) - Two versions of the album. 1 for the solid, die-hard music fan and 1 for the easily offended fan. For those of you who are, we'll say, collectors... you'll need both. Check back often.

Happy Groundhog's Day! The discography section has been updated to include a few more details about prior releases. We've also added a links page to showcase some organizations that we enjoy. Artwork is progressing on the forthcoming album, Art of Regret but, there will be a slight delay as Asia (the continent) demands some time from Arn Poe. In the meantime, minor artwork will still be in progress, domestically as well as abroad.

More debates have been raised over certain tracks for the CD. Fear not, comrades, the album is still slated for the very near future. Negotiations are reaching a conclusion and the filibusters have been rampant. Soon we will know the results...

01/24/2007 1:16PM
Final preparations are being made to ship the master CD to the manufacturer. Does this mean that Art of Regret will finally see the light of day? Ah, we can only hope... Stay tuned for the update coming on or about January 30th.

Green is, once again, in the works. The offending frequency of the song has been identified. Now the trick will be to reduce that frequency just enough to clean the audio. The less-than-good news is that a certain person, we'll call him Mr. Poe, has introduced some information about mastering that has tossed a wrench into all the work completed so far.
It has been suggested, that we make a copy available of a 'current' mastered song for those who wish to listen and comment. If you are one of those persons who wishes to listen and comment, send us an email and we'll negotiate a good deal.

Another delay?! Yes. The holidays have caused a bit of slow down in the "fix it" room so art of Regret is yet to be completed. Stay tuned for 2007.

The dyedEmotions website has returned to the world of the living.

11/27/2006 10:45PM
art of Regret, the 2nd studio album from dyedEmotions, originally scheduled for release in 2001 has finally labored its way to the final mixes. 11 of the 12 tracks are completed. The offending song (and personal favorite of Raven) is track 6 titled Green. The holdup involves the extreme bass sounds created by the crunch guitar. With some additional effort and some skill/luck, Green should be completed by December 15th.
